Still not sure of what "theme" I have here, but if I had to put words to it I would call this "Time Warp".

Emulate The Masters - Yousuf Karsh B/W : This is Dean Torrence from the legendary surf band "Jan and Dean". In true Yousuf Karsh style I shot at his house while interviewing him. Dean is full of stories, once you get him talking....it's hard to get him to stop (not like you want him to anyway). In this picture Dean is reminiscing and telling me a great old story from the "Jan and Dean" days.

This does not have the typical "look" lighting wise of some of Yousuf Karsh's photos, but it has the same feel...someone opening up and telling a story not likely heard before. Giving you a glimpse of their life...their home, their history, and their work.

******Forgot to add....Dean is also a fellow photographer. He's a Nikon shooter :) ******
